You can now make FREE calls from your iPod Touch. It is amazing how you can transform an MP3 player into a FREE phone with a free application from internet telephone company Truphone. Truphone allows users with a Wi-Fi connection to make and receive calls via voice over internet protocol with other iPod touch users, Gtalk messanger users. The company is working on making land line calls possible using this method.

You only need a headset/microphone to go. The application creates a virtual keyboard to use for dialling numbers. You can download Truphone free from iTunes app store. So you are good to go having Truphone and headset microphone/headphones.
