Ok if you use Windows vista or Windows 7, you can have these pretty cool gadgets on your desktop (on desktop sidebar in vista). I have already shared some Windows Vista gadgets (also check these windows vista gadgets) and here are some more cool and useful gadgets that you can have on your desktop in Windows 7 or Vista.
Magic Folder
This gadget is very useful for the people who have mess of folders and files on their desktop. When you drag a file or folder on this gadget, it looks at the type of file and then place it in a folder accordingly. Forexample it will place a document file (xls, ppt, doc) in documents folder and a picture (jpg, gif etc) in Pictures folder.
Screen Sapper
A very powerful and flexible screen capture utility. This gadget provides the option to take the screenshot of full screen, windows or objects on screen and pretty much anything on screen. It can copy image to clipboard automatically and saves the captured image in 7 popular formats.
App Launcher
Another very useful gadget to launch often used apps. You can add apps by dragging and dropping or from settings in this gadget. You can also drag and drop folders, drives, recycle bin or other things from my computer to app launcher. A must have gadget in my opinion.
System Control
A very useful gadget that allows you not only shutdown, reset, lock and standby computer but also you can also use features like switch user, logoff, task manager, run window, command prompt etc. All thee buttons can be re arranged or enabled/ disabled.
Panda Cam
A very simple yet cute gadget. This gadget shows the live panda cam at the San Diego Zoo. There is no guarantee that pandas will always be there in front of cam but they are usually there doing some cool things. Its cuter than anything, check it out.
