Many new users of Samsung Corby (S3650 and S3650W), Star (GT-S5230) and Star 3G are unable to set a custom wallpapers on their mobile phones. Since we can not use custom themes (other than default ones) on Samsung, the custom wallpapers are only way to bring a cool look on your phone.
Here are two methods of setting a custom wallpaper on Samsung Corby or Star 3G.
Method 1 (Hard Way): Set wallpapers on Samsung Corby and Star 3G
- Download Wallpapers on phones in files(i.e images/pictures) or in external memory
- Go to Menu > My Files > Images
- Select the images that you want to put as wallpaper
- When the images opens, you will see an option ‘Set As‘. Click on it and select ‘Wallpaper‘
- You will now see the picture with re-size rectangle
- You can move the rectangle with touch and select the area of image that you want to put as wallpaper (same as cropping)
- To put whole image as wallpaper, touch and drag any corner of re-size rectangle. Drag up to the size you wish (it turns red when you work on it)
- Select on ‘Set’ and your wallpaper is done
