Make iPhone Ringtones Using ITunes For Free

There are many wonderful applications you can find at iTunes App Store that are developed by third party developers. The problem with Apple is that you have to pay for ringtones even if you have purchased the song legally from iTunes.
This step by step tutorial will show you how to create free ringtones for iPhone and you will be able to make free ringtones for your iPhone only by using iTunes.
Step 1: Open iTunes and select a song that you want to make ringtone of.
Step2: Right click and select Get Info > Options tab and select “Start Time” and “Start Time” to ensure where to start and stop the song. Keep stop time not more than 40 seconds after start time, keep it around 30 seconds to be on safe side (you can uncheck start and stop timings after you have created the ringtones).
Step 3: Go to Edit > Preferences > General tab and click on Import Settings.
Also keep AAC Encoder settings as follows.
Step 4: Right click on the song that you selected and create AAC version out of it.
You will now see two songs by same name but one of them is 30 or 40 seconds depending on your start and stop time.
Step 5: Select the 30 second version of the song in iTunes and press Ctrl+C and paste the song on your desktop. This AAC version song is .M4A extension change it to .M4R.
Step 6: Now connect your iPhone to the PC and drag this song to the iPhone icon in iTunes.
That is it you have created iPhone ringtone which is in your iPhone and you can start using it. Yes, it is that simple to make a ringtone for your iPhone out of any song that you like using iTunes for free.
