Many sources reported that iPhone will soon be sold on Walmart-albeit a 4G model but latest news are that it is actually iPhone Nano. The rumour has been fuelled by the fact that Idealschina is creating a silicon casing as shown here which will fit iPhone Nano’s measurements.

According to Idealschina “It is the same height as the just release Nano but thicker and wider with the same iPhone 3G contours. It has 3 censors, camera, mirror screen but no 3G. Production will start on 20th with 60,000 to 80,000 per day pieces coming from assembly line.”
Steve Jobs will be announcing it during the January MacWorld Show and you will find it in stores shortly after that. Erase Everything

This is useful if you want to sell your blackberry, exchange or want to give it away to someone. To erase all data from your blackberry go to Options-> Security Options-> General Settings and choose “Wipe Handheld” from menu.

See What’s Running

To se what applications are running on your blackberry, Press the Alt key followed by Escape. It is same as pressing Alt+Tab on your windows computer to navigate between all open applications.

Save Web Page

If you come across an interesting web page that you like and want to read but have not got time for that, it is always a great idea to save this for future. Simply open menu of your blackberry internet browser and select “save page”, the page will be saved in your message list just like normal email messages.

Delete Your Emails

Change the icon position on screen

Highlight the icon you want to move, Hold down the Alt key. While holding down the Alt key press in on track wheel. Scroll the track wheel to the position you want the icon to be and press in again.

Switch to Menu while on phone

While on phone, hold down the Alt key and click in on track wheel. Select menu to compose a mail or view information.

Blackberry shortcut keys

Capitalize a letter – Hold the letter key until a capital letter appears
Move to an item in the menu – Press the first letter of the item
Select a check box - Press the Space key (To uncheck, press space key again)
Select a line of text - Press the shift key and roll the track wheel
Turn on the backlighting – Press the power button
Move down the screen – Press the Space key
Move up the screen – Press Space + Shift key

Change Windows Vista Startup Sound

Windows Vista is only version of Windows so far to include a non user-customizable startup sound. Changing this sound can not be done from control panel of Windows. You can instead follow these steps to change this sound to your own sound file.

Locate the file “imageres.dll” in vista’s system32 folder. For instance, C:\Windows\System32\imageres.dll. Copy the file in another location (For example on desktop).
Download ResHacker.
Open ResHacker, open the file “imageres.dll” in ResHackeer.
Find the folder “WAVE” and expand everything below that.
Right click 1033 (could have different name depending on your local) and click replace resources. Click “open file with the new resources” and find the WAVE file you want to replace it with. Once you’re done, in Resource Type, type “WAVE“, in Resource Name type “5051″, and under Resource Language type “1033″ (or whatever number you have). Once done, click Replace.
Click FILE and then SAVE. Now you can copy this file to vista’s system32 folder.

You can keep “imageres.dll” file save to replace it later if you want.
