Google Chrome is getting more of browser market share by every day and help from Chrome community is great. There are several plugins for Chrome and tips for Chrome users that make Google’s browser more fun.
There are loads of free themes for Google Chrome and you can even create your own customized theme using CRX Theme Creator.
Follow this procedure to make a custom Chrome theme.
- Download CRX Theme Creator which is a portable program. So you do not need to install it, just download and double click to launch
- Now you need to PNG format images to use in your theme. Use Irfanview or Adobe Photoshop to convert any format images into PNG
- Run crxtheme.exe and choose images and colors for your theme (use theme creation guide for Chrome for help)
- Click View button for preview of the theme that you are creating on Chrome (you need to close any Chrome window if it is opened already)
- Click Pack Theme button to pack your theme, a new file will be created by name theme.crx in the same folder as crxtheme.exe
Your custome Google Chrome theme is now created. You can use it or share it online for others to use it.
