Change Recycle Bin and My Computer Icon
This is an easy method to change the icons of My Computer, Recycle Bin and My Documents. You can also change the icons of Internet Explorer, My Network Places etc if you have them on your Windows XP desktop. So here is the easy method to do so.
- Right Click on your computer desktop and click Properties.
- “Display Properties” multi-tabbed dialog box will appear, click the “Desktop” tab.
- Click “Customize Desktop” button.
- “Desktop Items” dialog box will apear. Make sure “General” tab is selected.
- Here you can click on an icon to change including My Computer, My Documents, My Network Places, Recycle Bin (Full), Recycle Bin (Empty).
- Click “Change Icon”.
- You can choose from available icons or you can browse an icon from your computer that you might have downloaded from Internet.
- Click OK to the dialog box to close them.
So this is an easy method to change Recycle Bin, My Computer, My Documents icons in Windows XP.
