Here are some tips and tricks about some great time saving features of Blackberry. Also some short cut keys which will make your life easier. So have a look at this article if you do not want to read long guides on Blackberry.

Erase Everything
This is useful if you want to sell your blackberry, exchange or want to give it away to someone. To erase all data from your blackberry go to Options-> Security Options-> General Settings and choose “Wipe Handheld” from menu.
See What’s Running
To se what applications are running on your blackberry, Press the Alt key followed by Escape. It is same as pressing Alt+Tab on your windows computer to navigate between all open applications.
Save Web Page
If you come across an interesting web page that you like and want to read but have not got time for that, it is always a great idea to save this for future. Simply open menu of your blackberry internet browser and select “save page”, the page will be saved in your message list just like normal email messages.
Delete Your Emails
If you want to delete emails in your inbox in black berry press “CAPS” key and scroll up or down using the wheel to delete the messages that you want to delete. To completely delete all messages, Press t in message view to move to the top and select “Delete Prior”. This will delete all email messages in your blackberry inbox.
Screen Capture
Mobiola Screen Capture is a very good application to capture still image and also to make a video of your blackberry activities. Snap Screen is cheaper but can only take still images.
Reboot blackberry
To soft reboot your blackberry, Press and hold Alt key, Press and hold Cap key and then press Backspace key. Remember you will not loose any data and it will soft reboot your blackberry.
Message sorting
ALT key will show only incoming mails and Alt-O will show only outgoing email messages.
Write special characters
You can write some special characters on your blackberry including © ® ™ Ñ ¶.Here is how you can write these characters.
© – Type and hold C while scrolling the track wheel, release when you see the character
® – Type and hold R while scrolling the track wheel, release when you see the character
™ - Type and hold T while scrolling the track wheel, release when you see the character
Ñ – Type and hold N while scrolling the track wheel, release when you see the character
¶ – Type and hold P while scrolling the track wheel, release when you see the character
Know (Reveal) the sender’s Email address
While any message is open, scroll your cursor over their name in To, Bcc, Cc and press the space bar, it will reveal sender’s email address.
Delete all messages prior to a date
In the inbox scroll to the date you want to delete prior message from, click in on track wheel and choose delete prior from the menu and push in on the track wheel. This helps you clean your inbox quickly.
Change the icon position on screen
Highlight the icon you want to move, Hold down the Alt key. While holding down the Alt key press in on track wheel. Scroll the track wheel to the position you want the icon to be and press in again.
Switch to Menu while on phone
While on phone, hold down the Alt key and click in on track wheel. Select menu to compose a mail or view information.
Blackberry shortcut keys
- Capitalize a letter – Hold the letter key until a capital letter appears
- Move to an item in the menu – Press the first letter of the item
- Select a check box – Press the Space key (To uncheck, press space key again)
- Select a line of text – Press the shift key and roll the track wheel
- Turn on the backlighting – Press the power button
- Move down the screen – Press the Space key
- Move up the screen – Press Space + Shift key
