According to recent IDC report Blackberry Curve is best selling smart phone in 2009. Holding the top spot in best selling chart means there are many users of Blackberry Curve out there and people are already releasing games and other stuff for Blackberry Curve users.

Here are some tips and tricks for Blackberry Curve users to assist them during the use of mobile and to get most out of their phones.

Setting up Call Forwarding

This tips works on many blackberry mobile phones including Blackberry Curve. Follow these steps to set up call forwarding.

Press the call (green handset) button
Click the wheel and select Full Menu
Select Options
And select Call Forwarding

By default, you will find the number that correspond the voice mail number. Change it to your desired number to forward the calls. Remember your minutes/ credit will be used when forwarding the call.

Fast forward or Rewind video

Blackberry media player’s user interface can be complicated to understand. If you are trying to move around different time positions, follow these steps when a video is being played.

Pause the video
Use trackball to scroll up, notice the blue bar above play button is highlighted
Click the trackball. Notice the position marker also turns from white to blue.
Use the trackball to move to desired position and click the trackball. The position marker will become white again.
Scroll down the trackball and click the Play button to start playing video in new time position.

Messaging Tips

Here are some shortcut keys to help you during using message feature of blackberry curve.
R: Reply
F: Forward
T: To go to the top of list
B: Go to the bottom of list
Alt + I: View received messages
Alt + O: View received messages
Alt + V: View voicemail messages

Turn off delete confirmation prompt

It can be irritating to confirm every deletion especially when you are deleting multiple items in your Blackberry Curve. Here is how to disable confirm deletion prompt.

Open an application.
Press Menu > Options > General Options.
Change the confirm delete to NO.
Select Save and you are done.
